Gas-proof parka adopted by the US Navy in the early 1940s. Initially, denim material was used, but later it was changed to cotton twill, and the pocket positions were also changed. Since it can be put on and taken off as a pullover, it has a roomy silhouette overall. The loop around the neck of the hood is the part to hang the gas mask filter container, and the left and right straps are for fixing the gas mask hose. The placket has a complex three-layered structure to prevent gas from entering, and the hood also has a cord running through it to seal it after a gas mask is attached. This hoodie was worn with overall trousers, rubber gloves, and rubber overshoes.
